About Us
The building of Hendrix Road Baptist Church is located in the Underwood-Petersville area just north of Florence, AL. But really what is a church? We believe that the church is the people, the family of God. We strive to grow together to love God and others more. While we meet together for organized services and Bible studies, we hope that you will find us to be a group of believers that is there for one another throughout the week, not just Sundays.
The motto of our church is “Speaking the Truth in Love.” The Bible is the Truth and the source of all truth. We cannot compromise what is clearly stated in Scripture. At the same time, we try to share every truth in love - in a loving way from a loving heart. Together, truth and love, make a beautiful message - one of hope, forgiveness, and joy!
Our Mission
At Hendrix Road, it is our goal to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel to everyone and grow the church through the baptizing and discipleship of believers.

We endeavor to edify every believer that comes and reach out to those in our community with the resources and people that God has given us.
Our Values
We place an emphasis on the Fellowship of the Church Family. We believe this, in conjunction with the Scripture, is pivotal to Christian growth and effective outreach.
Our Staff
Pastor Tony Knotts and his wife Jurrena have been at Hendrix Road since 2020. Tony originally came as the assistant pastor and then, early in 2023, was voted in as the head pastor. We love ministering with the church here and reaching out to the Florence community!
